Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your MindMePlay account and the personal data we hold about you, at any time. You do not need the app installed to make a request.

How to request deletion

Email with the subject line Delete my account.

Send it from the email address the account was created with, so we can confirm the request is genuine. If you want us to delete one player profile rather than the whole account, tell us which profile.

You can also delete from inside the app

If you have MindMePlay installed, open Settings and choose the delete option. This clears the data held on that device. Email us as well if you want your account removed from our servers.

What we delete

When we delete an account or a profile, we remove the personal data we hold on our servers for it:

Copies can remain in our database provider's routine backups for a short period. Those expire within seven days.

What is already only on your device

MindMePlay is built local first. Journal entries, mood, energy and focus ratings, game plans, session reflections, statistics, streaks and experience points are stored on the device and never sent to us. We cannot see them and we cannot delete them for you.

To remove that data, use the delete option in the app, or uninstall the app from the device.

What we have to keep, and why

We keep a record of the consents given for the account, including the date, time and policy version. Data protection law requires us to be able to show that we processed personal data lawfully, and the consent record is that evidence. We keep it for six years after the account closes, and we do not use it for anything else.

How long it takes

We aim to complete deletion requests within one month of receiving them, in line with UK data protection law. For users in India, we resolve grievances within 90 days.

We will email you to confirm when it is done.

Parents and guardians

Every profile for a player under 18 is created and managed by a parent or guardian. If you manage a young player's profile, you can request deletion of that profile, or of the whole account, on their behalf. Email us from the account email address and tell us which profile you mean.

Other privacy requests

As well as deletion, you can ask for a copy of the data we hold, ask us to correct it, object to certain processing, or withdraw a consent you have given. Use the same address: [email protected]. Your full rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
